Cobh Ramblers vs Cork City Match Preview – League of Ireland First Division 2026

Cobh Ramblers welcome Cork City to St.Colmans Park for the first All Cork derby of 2026.

Cork City approach Friday Night’s trip to St.Colman’s Park top of the league and with three wins on the trot. They have already beaten Treaty United at home, Wexford away in Ferrycarrig Park and most recently Bray Wanderers at the Munster FA Turner’s Cross Stadium. Seani Maguire scored the only goal of the game, it did not reflect the game however, with City being largely dominant.

Cobh Ramblers currently sit 7th in the table after three games, taking four points from their possible nine. Kai O’Neill opened his League of Ireland tally last Friday at St.Colman’s Park, giving his side the lead after heading home. However, the 18 year-old’s goal was not enough. Harps equalised through Nathan Lumingo in the 73rd minute, as Harps held them to a draw.
