Galway United Announce the Signing of Lee Devitt

Galway United have announced the signing of former Treaty United midfielder Lee Devitt.

The 25 year old makes the move following 4 seasons at Treaty United where he made 155 appearances across all competitions scoring 31 goals and 13 assists along the way.

The 2025 season was a season to remember for Devitt as he scored 16 goals in all competitions to help guide the Limerick side to a First Division playoff final where they lost 1-0 to Bray Wanderers at LissyWollen. Devitt has also had previous spells in the League Of Ireland with Cobh Ramblers and Limerick FC.

Speaking to club media about the signing, Galway United manager John Caulfield said:

“We’ve been watching Lee closely for the last couple of seasons, and he really exploded last year — it was a standout season for him. He’s been a massive player for Treaty for a number of years, and when we heard he was looking for full-time football, we knew he was at the perfect stage in his career to make that step.

Lee brings incredible energy and real quality. He’s versatile, he’s powerful, he’s athletic, and he’s got serious pace. On top of that, he scored a huge amount of goals last season. His style fits exactly into the profile we’re building, and I’m absolutely delighted to bring him in.

Lee Devitt also spoke to club media following the signing saying:

It’s a really exciting project John is building here and I can’t wait to be part of it and give my all for the club
