Match Preview: Bray V Longford Town 25/03/24

We have 1 game tonight in the First Division as Bray Wanderers welcome Longford Town to the Carlisle Grounds.

Bray come into this game having been on the wrong side of a 7 goal thriller against Wexford on Friday night when a Thomas Oluwa Penalty gave Wexford all 3 points in a thrilling contest.

Meanwhile, Longford come into this game having somehow left a 3-0 goal half time lead turn into a 3-3 draw away to Athlone Town on Friday night. Longford had been so dominant in the first half that a number of Athlone supporters left the ground at half time only for a miraculous comeback to occur with Athlone also finishing with 10 players.

Longford sit on the bottom of the table with 1 point on the board but also have 3 games in hand on the teams above them due to postponements of games due adverse weather condtions.

Bray sit 2 places above them in 8th position with 4 points on the board.

This fixture is a re-arranged fixture from matchday 3 when poor weather conditions led to the game being postponed.

Going by the form book there wont be much in this game. Bray have the joint worst defence in the league conceding 12 goals in 5 games so their defence can be got at.

But saying that Longford Town have let 2 leads slip against Athlone Town and Finn Harps when they went 2 goals up early on to lose 3-2.

This is going to be an incredibly tight contest and would imagine there will be a few goals.

Loi Talks Prediction: Bray 2-2 Longford Town.
