Shelbourne Announce Long-Term Signing of Will Jarvis

On the eve of the start of the 2026 League Of Ireland season, Shelbourne have announced the signing of Will Jarvis from Notts County on a long term deal.

The 23-year-old forward has committed to a long-term deal with the Reds, returning to Tolka Park for the third time in his career.

A graduate of the Hull City academy, Jarvis first joined Shelbourne on loan in the summer of 2023. During that initial stint, he made 12 league appearances, scoring three goals and providing three assists as the Reds finished fourth in the League of Ireland and secured European qualification.

Jarvis returned on loan for the 2024 season, featuring in 30 matches across all competitions, scoring nine goals and registering five assists. His performances saw him become a standout figure, with key strikes in Dublin derby victories and a pivotal penalty in the UEFA Europa Conference League qualifier against St Joseph’s of Gibraltar.

After his second spell in Dublin, Jarvis was recalled by Hull City in August 2024. He later moved to Notts County in January 2025, where he made 29 appearances, scoring two goals and contributing two assists before agreeing to return to Shelbourne on a permanent basis.

Speaking to the club media following the announcement, Jarvis said:

It all came about very quickly, once I heard from Joey and Lukey well, it was a no brainer for me once I heard they wanted me back, I said to myself it’s about time to come back. I loved my time at Shels and I’m thrilled to be returning, it really does feel like coming home in a way. The years here were the best I’ve had in football. I think of the memories in 2023 and 2024. The club, the staff, and the fans helped me grow as a player and I’m excited to come back here again. There’s something special about playing at Tolka and I want to help bring more success here

Also speaking to club media Shelbourne manager Joey O’Brien said:

Bringing Will back on a permanent deal is a huge boost for us. His record here speaks for itself. He brings goals, creativity, and real attacking intent. He knows this club, he knows this league, and we’re excited to have him back as part of our long term plans.

Shelbourne start their 2026 League Of Ireland campaign tomorrow when they face Waterford at the RSC.
