Bohemians and Sligo Rovers go to battle in Phibsborough on Friday night with both sides looking to pursue very different objectives this season.
Recent draws against Shelbourne, Drogheda, Dundalk and Waterford have threatened to halt the Gypsies’ momentum but Alan Reynolds men are still unbeaten and are level on points with Pats’ at the top.
Sligo are without a win in 5 and have only won once all year. A thumping in Inchicore on Good Friday was followed up by a drab 0-0 draw against fellow strugglers Derry City at The Showgrounds on Easter Monday. John Russell’s Bit O’Red sit 9th and only a point clear of bottom side Waterford.

Team News
Douglas James Taylor has been out of action since the reverse fixture against Sligo at The Showgrounds. Colm Whelan’s early season form has tailed off slightly so Bohs have been struggling for goals in recent weeks. It’s unclear what the problem is with the former Drogheda striker but he’s unlikely to return for this one. Dawson Devoy misses out through suspension.
Sligo difficulties in front of goal could be explained by the absences of two of their main creative outlets in Jad Hakiki and Ryan O’Kane. The latter picked up a nasty shoulder injury at Oriel Park in mid March and is expected to be out long term. Neither Mai Traore or Cian Kavanagh have been able to lock down the No.9 jersey by getting the goals to pull Sligo away from danger.
Key Statistics
Sligo haven’t won away from home yet this season, scoring only two goals on the road in 2026.
Bohs have only beaten Sligo once in the last four meetings.
Bohs are unbeaten in ten while Sligo are five without a win.
There has been under 2.5 goals in 4 of the sides previous five meetings.
Key Players
Archie Meekison has had to take on a creative role in this Sligo team in the absence of Jad Hakiki. The former Bohs man has started the last three games and will be eager to haunt his old employers on his return to Dalymount Park.
