Bray Wanderers have tonight confirmed that the Carlisle Grounds will not be ready for the upcoming First Division season which is only a few weeks away from getting underway.
Bray were scheduled to play their second game of the season at the Carlisle Grounds at home to UCD but that has now been switched with the UCD Bowl not hosting the clash. Brays third game of the season against Wexford FC have also had a venue switch and Ferrycarrig Park will now host this game week 3 clash.
In a statement released on the clubs social media page it read
“Due to ongoing maintenance work to the pitch at the Carlisle Grounds, our home two games in February are to be reversed against both UCD and Wexford.
Our two away fixtures against both UCD and Wexford in April and May will be reversed to the Carlisle Grounds.”
In other fixture changes released by the FAI tonight, Shamrock Rovers gameweek 2 clash vs First Division champions and newly promoted Cork City has been moved from a Friday night kickoff to a Sunday evening kick off due to Shamrock Rovers involvement in the UEFA Europa Conference league.
And Sligo Rovers and St Patricks Athletic scheduled for Saturday May 31st will now be on Friday May 30th with a 19:45 PM kick off.
