Waterford FC have just released a statement, in which they have announced the departure of manager Keith Long after a poor run of form. The poor run of form has led to his demise.
In an official statement, Club Owner Jamie Pilley said I’d like to thank Keith for his efforts and commitment over the past two years at Waterford Football Club.
He will be fondly remembered by all at the club for his role in returning the club to the Premier Division and this decision wasn’t one which was taken easily. However, the recent run of results meant it necessary for a change. We now plan to take our time to ensure we find the right man to move the club forward.”
Keith joined the Blues in March of 2023. He pulled the reins for our first division season in which we were promoted, he also kept us in the top flight for another season last year, but he has unfortunately seen his last moments on the sideline after last nights deplorable 0-4 defeat at home to Sligo.
I would like to thank Keith for the mass amount of work that has gone into the club over the last two years.
The hunt for a new head man is now underway, who do you think will take over? let me know your thoughts.
