Treaty United have started their plans for 2026 Women’s League Of Ireland season as they have today confirmed that former Athlone Town captain Laurie Ryan as their new manager.

Ryan from County Clare has previous experience as a manager, managing the Technological University of the Shannon (TUS) Women’s Soccer Team winning the Intervarsities Shield in 2023 and the Intervarsities Cup in 2024.

During her playing career, Ryan made 99 appearances across all competitions joining Athlone Town in 2021. The highlights of the time in the Women’s League Of Ireland being lifting the FAI Women’s Cup in 2023 and securing the club’s first-ever league title in 2024.

Speaking to the Treaty United media team following her appointment, Ryan said:

“I am delighted to be here and to get this opportunity to manage at the top level of Women’s football in the country. I’m looking forward to getting started and having the chance to work with a group of really talented players.”

Treaty United CEO Ciara McCormack had this to say about the new appointment

“We’re thrilled to welcome Laurie to Treaty United. She represents everything we value at the club — leadership, professionalism, and a deep connection to the Mid-West region. Her track record as a captain, coach, and educator makes her an ideal fit to guide our women’s program into an exciting new chapter.”
