Bohemians made it six wins on the bounce in all competitions with an impressive display in Belfield Vs DLR Waves.
Bohs were dominant for much of the first half which say the North Dublin side create most of the opportunities and Waves without much of a foothold in the game.
Sarah Power would put the visitors in front after a long spell of dominance just before half time, but it would be in the second half that the game would spring into life.
DLR would have the first say of the second half as Amber Cosgrove headed the ball just millimetres over the line to equalise, however Bohemians wouldn’t take too long to find an equaliser as Waves’ Leah Donnelly got on the wrong end of Alannah McEvoy’s cross to hand Bohs the lead.
The visitors continued to dominate and would finally double their lead nine minutes from injury time as Katie McCarn found the bottom left hand corner after some lovely footwork to beat her marker.
Substitute Savannah Kane would have her effort blocked just five minutes later, however the block down only came out as far as the substitute who slotted home to finish the game as a real contest.
An edge of the box effort from Amber Cullen would find its way into the top left hand corner in injury time, giving DLR something to be happy about.
However, Katie McCarn would have the last word to give Bohs their fifth as she ran past the keeper before turning and shooting down the middle, giving Bohemians an impressive 5-2 victory.
Bohs now prepare for a quick turnaround as they travel to Waterford on Tuesday night before welcoming champions Athlone Town to Dalymount Park at the weekend.
DLR Waves will travel to Limerick to play Treaty United on Saturday.
