Galway United striker Moses Dyer was sent off on Monday’s Connacht Derby and that looks to be his last act in Irish football, as this season’s top scorer has made the decision to move abroad.
David Sneyd broke the news on Wednesday morning, first reporting that Derry City had activated the Kiwi’s release clause, but that he had turned down the move. This was followed by the news that Dyer would still be leaving John Caulfield’s side for a club outside of our island.
Despite only playing in the League of Ireland for 6 months, Dyer’s spell will be fondly remembered by Galway United fans, scoring 10 goals in that time and perhaps the most memorable being, what is likely to be the goal of the season, his strike away to Bohemians.
