Kerry FC will host Bray Wanderers at Mounthawk Park tonight, where both teams will hope to gain three crucial points.
The Seagulls go into this one off the back of a disappointing display and result against Treaty United, where they couldn’t match The Shannonsiders’ intensity, and came out 2-1 losers. With a victory, Bray could potentially put themselves 10pts clear of fourth-placed Treaty, and 15 points clear of sixth-placed Wexford, cementing them comfortably in the playoff positions.
Kerry come into this after a tight 2-2 draw with Athlone Town, in which they conceded an 89th minute equaliser. Kerry’s form as of recent is a mixed bag, with two wins, two draws and one loss in their last five. If they win, Kerry could potentially sit two points off the playoffs, with a game in hand, placing them firmly in the race for promotion.
My player to watch for Bray has to be Rhys Bartley, he came in at the start of the season and instantly became one of the first names on the team sheet. He can be described as Mr. Consistent, as he has not had a bad game in a Bray shirt. He can break the lines with his passing and movement and also shows real composure and solidity defensively.
My player to watch for Kerry is Tim Hiemer, The German has performed very well for the Tralee outfit, notably saving two penalties against UCD, he’s come up with crucial saves at crucial parts of games and has helped Kerry to a healthy seventh place standing.
I think Bray will run out victorious in this game, and bounce back well after their lacklustre performance last week. 4-1 Bray.
The game will be streamed live of LOITV at 19:45 tonight.
