Walshy’s Testimonial

If there are any Galway fans, or anyone living in Galway, reading this article, I would highly recommend going to Stephen Walsh’s Testimonial Match. It takes place on November 15th at 2 p.m. at Eamonn Deacy Park.

The game will feature Galway United Legends taking on Galway Football Association Legends, and it’s sure to be a great occasion and a lovely experience for everyone involved.

Next up, my conversation with Luka Le Bervet.
Michał: If you could rate this season out of 5, what’s one thing you wish you had achieved, and is that something that will be on your mind for next season?
Luka Le Bervet: I’d Say for this season on a scale from 1-5 i’d Rate it 3. I think we had a great year obviously points wise and performance wise, But I think personally for me missing 3-4 months Injured was really dissapointing I kind of felt like I left the team down in that way and how we exited the Playoffs really dissapointed me because I really felt with the Group and staff we had we Should have went a lot further. As for next season I’m ambitous and want to be up the top end of the Table and have a full injury free season to show everybody what I can do.
Michał: What’s one game or season that still stands out in your memory with Cobh Ramblers?
Luka Le Bervet: The game that stands out for me this year was our 2-0 away win to bray, I felt that was my best performance personally and as a whole team and everything really clicked that day, It was my last game of the season aswell before injury. Other great memories would be my Debut aswell that was a really special moment which will stay with me forever.
Michał: How do you prepare yourself for a game, both mentally and physically?
Luka Le Bervet: For a game I prepare the best way I can, I’m someone who really loves routine. I like to prepare in the gym all week and I have to have the same pre match meal every gameday at the same time. In terms of mentally preparing myself I always like to have a phone call with My mother before the game, that really helps me prepare and relax and obviously listen to My Music that really gets me in the Zone.
Michał: What team would you consider was a hard team to beat this season?
Luka Le Bervet: This year I think there was some hard games to play, I think Kerry away is always tough down there, Dundalk of course who are a brilliant team was always tough every time, but for me Treaty away down in the markets field was the toughest, I think they are a well drilled team and you can see that by how far they got in the playoffs this year.
Michał: Where do you see yourself and Cobh Ramblers in the next few years?
Luka Le Bervet: I want to really kick on this year at whatever club I’m at, I think there’s still a lot of improving and learning for me to do and I’m ready to challenge myself, I want to put my name out there and show everybody what I can do wherever that is. I’m really looking forward to what comes next for me. I’m Enjoying the off season But whenever my Phone rings i’ll be ready.

Luka Le Bervet Signs New Two-Year Deal with Cobh Ramblers During Interview

In a unique twist, Luka Le Bervet put pen to paper on a new two-year contract with Cobh Ramblers while speaking to me for this week’s interview.

Here’s what the Cobh man had to say:

‘I’m delighted to Have signed my professional contract here, I felt like playing games for me at the moment is most important in my career. Looking forward to what’s next.”

I would like to take this opportunity to thank both Stephen Walsh and Luka Le Bervet for taking part in this interview. I wish them the very best of luck for the 2026 season and beyond.
