The devastating effect Storm Éowyn has had on LOI stadiums

Storm Éowyn was a record breaking storm that caused nationwide damage and that doesn’t exclude league of Ireland clubs. First division sides Longford Town and Finn Harps have both suffered damage to their respective stadiums.

Longford Town: Bishopsgate

Videos emerged on Friday of the severe effects the storm had on Longford Town’s Bishopsgate stadium.

The club is yet to issue an official statement on the matter, so it is unknown whether or not Longford will be able to host Bray Wanderers in their opening game of the First division season.

Finn Harps: Finn Park

On Saturday evening Finn Harps released an official statement regarding Storm Éowyn.

Seemingly Finn Park hasn’t suffered the same level of damage as Bishopsgate but still an incredibly unfortunate event for the Donegal based club.
