Live from the gantry here in the UCD Bowl with my good friend Diolun de Paor in a huge clash between Dún Laoighre-Rathdown Waves and Cork City F.C. So far, DLR waves have failed to catch a break, a stroke of luck, or that “wee bit of panaché” as they sit bottom of the table with eight losses from eight. City on the other hand, aren’t doing much better, with just two wins from their opening eight. For these reasons, it promises to be a close clash. Perhaps Waves may finally catch their break with home advantage, or will City outclass the Dublin side?
One to watch for City is in form Healy, who has been putting in a series of strong performances lately.
To give a prediction, I am going to go for a 0-2 win to Cork City. Perhaps this is my bias showing and it should be noted that Waves’ class is not to be underestimated. Promises to be a cracker here at the UCD Bowl.
