Every LOI Player in Action for Ireland Next Week

The first international break of the 2025 League of Ireland season is upon us with several players across both divisions being called up for the Irish underage teams.

Their will be no players featured in the senior team despite rumors of Shamrock Rovers fullback Josh Honohan potentially being selected for the 26 man squad, the 23 year old only made it as far as Heimir Hallgrímsson’s provisional squad.

Ireland Under 21’s

Conor Walsh: The Sligo Rovers shot stopper made his 21’s debut in November coming off the bench in a friendly vs Sweden. Walsh was impressive on loan at Wexford last season and is now battling for the number one shirt at the Bit O’Red.

Sean Grehan: The talented center back has been apart of Jim Crawford’s squad for over 18 months but this will be the first time he will feature as a LOI player after joining Bohemians on loan from Crystal Palace in February.

Jad Hakiki: The second Sligo Rovers player featured in the squad, Hakiki scored on the opening day of the Premier Divison season against Waterford and has featured in every game this season.

Mason Melia: The highly talked about 17 year old was named in the Under 21 squad for the November fixtures but was ruled out due to injury, he will be hoping to make his debut in either of the friendlies against Scotland or Hungary.

Ireland Under 19’s

Oisin Cooney: At just 18 the Finn Harps goalkeeper has already made 13 appearances in the First Division.

Sean Keogh: The Dundalk man has established himself as the first choice left back this season featuring 5 times and getting on the score sheet against Finn Harps.

Cory O’Sullivan: The Shamrock Rovers left back has made four league appearances for Stephen Bradley’s side this season and also featured in the UEFA Conference League defeat to Molde.

Thomas Morley: The Sligo Rovers midfielder reruns to the U19 squad, having already appeared 5 times for Tom Mohan’s side.

Michael Noonan: The highly talented striker has been a regualr for Shamrock Rovers this season after scoring against Molde in the Conference League. He will be hoping to cause more damage on the European stage in some big qualifiers against Finland, Slovenia and Germany.

Ireland Under 17’s

Alex Noonan: The Shamrock Rovers goalkeeper has been impressive for underage sides but is yet to feature for the hoops senior team.

Vincent Leonard: The 16 year old centre back became Dundalk’s youngest ever goalscorer after scoring in the opening game of the season against Athlone.

Billy Hayes: The St Pats winger is yet to feature for Stephen Kennys side.

Gavin McAteer: The highly thought of Finn Harps midfielder seems to have a big future with the Donegal side already tying him down to a three year deal.

Oscar Skoubo Keely: The Bohs academy player is yet to feature for the first team.

Charles Akinrintayo: One of the many teenagers that featured on Shamrock Rovers bench in their loss to Molde.

Brody Lee: Another name added to the list of Shamrock Rovers academy players in the U17 sqaud.

Billy O’Neil: The 17 year old center forward has featured 3 times in the first division for Bray Wanderers this season.

Victor Ozhianvuna: The 16 year old winger caught the eye on Shamrock Rovers opening game of the season against Bohemians at the Aviva.

Cillian Tollett: The 17 year old striker has made 3 appearances for Galway United in the Premier Division this season.

Ireland’s Under 17’s face Belgium, Poland and Iceland in hopes of qualifying for the U17 World Cup
