Bohemians are expected to secure the signing of Douglas James-Taylor from Walsall, sources have told LOI Talk.
The Englishman’s arrival comes after his loan deal with FAI Cup winners Drogheda United expired this month.
James-Taylor scored from the penalty spot in the final last year, finishing as the competition’s top scorer with seven goals and scoring in every round from the quarterfinal onwards.
The Londoner started his career at Stoke City with loan spells at Wealdstone, AFC Fylde, and Walsall, before signing for the latter club on a permanent basis in 2023, scoring twice for the Saddlers.
His best spell came in County Louth, where he signed on loan for the second half of the 2024 season, scoring eight goals in 27 games as Drogheda United won the FAI Cup, stayed in the Premier Division, and made an excellent start to the 2025 campaign.
The 23-year-old will be the first addition of the summer window for Alan Reynolds’ side, filling the highly talked about gap up front for the Gypsies.
