Shamrock Rovers have rejected another transfer offer from English League One side Lincoln City for star player Josh Honohan.
As revealed by Dan McDonnell for the Irish Independent, Lincoln City submitted a bid in the region of €625,000 which the League Of Ireland league leaders have rejected.
This is a rise in the previous bid Lincoln City have offered since they started when it was in the region of €350,000 – €400,000.
Honohan has played a crucial role for Shamrock Rovers this season, as they currently sit 9 points clear of the chasing pack at the top of the table. Honohan has made 27 apperances in the league this season, with a return of 5 goals and 3 assists while also playing a crucial role in their journey to qualification to the UEFA Conference League Phase for the second year in a row where the financial incentives are huge.
Each win for Shamrock Rovers in the competition will award them with €400,000 and every draw bagging them another €133,000.
Lincoln City still remain keen on signing the 24 year old Cork native with the potential for a January move now on the cards.
There has been interest from other English League clubs including Stoke City and Wigan Athletic but neither have submitted a bid to Shamrock Rovers.
