This Friday night see’s Wexford FC make the journey up to Oriel Park to face the league leaders Dundalk.
22 points seperate the sides with Dundalk sitting top on 49 points while Wexford sit in sixth place with 27 points.

Last time out:
The teams last played eachother on the 30th of May when Dundalk made the trip down to Ferrycarrig park in what was a thriller of a game. Dundalk came away 3 – 2 winners on the night. Dundalk opened the scoring just thirteen minutes in with thanks to a goal from Leonardo Gaxha however, Wexford equalised just four minutes later through Darragh Levingston. 26 minutes later Wexford take the lead just before the break with a goal from Mikie Rowe to put the homeside 2 – 1 up on the stroke of halftime. Dundalk got back on level terms in the 71st minute as Dean Ebbe scored the equaliser for the away side to make it 2 – 2. Both teams were fighting for a winner and it was Dundalk who were successful as Luke Mulligan netted home the deciding goal in the 86th minute to secure the three points for the lilywhites in a 2 – 3 win for the away side.

Conclusion:
To conclude, I think that we have a huge game in store this Friday night and hopefully Dundalk can come away with the three points. I predict that the lilywhites will win one nil and contine their journey back to the Premier Division.
