Both teams come into this fixture in winning ways with The Blues coming out 4-1 winners in Drogheda’s Weavers Park and The Maroon Army leaving Oriel Park with 3 points after a 2-0 win over Dundalk, Both teams come into this fixture with full confidence. It is expected that Waterford fans will come in their numbers, and Galway expected to have massive numbers come in. Let’s briefly get into the teams!
Waterford come into this with a near full strength line up, with players like McMenamy out but expected to be fit in the coming weeks. A strong defence in Leahy at left back, Grant Horton in at right fullback and Radkowski and Power both at right fullback and right back respectively. Moving on to midfield, McCourt who was subbed off during the Drogheda fixture expected to start alongside Baggley, Niall O Keeffe and Asamoah on the right. The blues attacking force comes in with Connor Parsons and Veteran Amond. Moving over to Galway now, Rob Slevin on the left with Brouder wearing the number 3 shirt along side him, with Donelon and Colm Horgan, who both played Dundalk on the right hand side. McCarthy expected to play a defensive midfielder role with Hurley and O’ Sullivan in midfield on the left, Borden and Aodh Dervin expected on the right and Ed McCarthy up top.
My Predictions! Personally after that performance in Drogheda, we’re definitely up to standard to win it, but Galway are a very strong 11 who are expected to pull out a good performance.
