Treaty United secured their first home win of the season with a 3-1 victory over Finn Harps at Markets Field on Friday evening.
The match began with Finn Harps dominating possession, but Treaty United’s defense remained resolute. In the opening minutes, Harps’ attacker Patrick Ferry forced two quick saves from Treaty goalkeeper Corey Chambers.
Just before halftime, Treaty United broke the deadlock when Evan O’Connor found the net, giving the hosts a 1-0 lead at the break.
However, Finn Harps responded immediately after the restart, with Ferry equalizing just 29 seconds into the second half.
What made the difference for Treaty United was the triple substitution and the switch to a 4-4-2 formation.

Undeterred, Treaty United regained control. Midfielder Lee Devitt restored their lead from the penalty spot following a mistake from the Finn Harps goalkeeper. That is Lee Devitt’s 5th goal in 3 matches. 5 minutes from full time, substitute David Tarmey sealed the win with a third goal.
This victory marked Treaty’s second win of the season and their first at home, building on their previous 5-0 triumph over Athlone Town.
For Finn Harps, the search for their first win continues, having struggled to convert possession into points in recent matches.
This result puts Treaty up into second place in the First Division 3 points behind Dundalk FC who Treaty United face in Oriel Park next week.
