Statement of Thanks: Derry O’Mahony Charity Match

LOI Talk would like to extend its deepest thanks to everyone who made the Derry O’Mahony Charity Match such a special and successful event.

We are grateful to all the players who took time out of their busy lives to make it down and participate in the game and make this event so successful.

We would like to thank Cobh Ramblers for allowing us to use St. Colman’s Park for the event and we would like to specifically thank Mark Farrell who was instrumental in securing the venue.

Without the officials, the game would not be possible. We thank them for officiating the match. We also thank the stewards for ensuring the game went ahead smoothly.

A special thanks to the supporters who made it down to watch the game and help to support these two brilliant charities.

Our sponsors were key in helping make the game possible. LOI Talk would like to thank Cheze Grinds and DH Barbers for helping to support the charity match financially. We also thank OBSportswear for the kits used in the match, and Digital Frontier for sponsoring the jersey.

Conor Kearns from Shelbourne and Patrick Ferry from Treaty United both supported the game. Our appreciation goes to them for this support.

This game was envisioned by one of our own, Dylan Power. Without him, this brilliant charity match wouldn’t have been possible. He spent a lot of hours putting in work to make this match a success, and helped raise significant funds and awareness for both the Irish Cancer Society and AsIAm Ireland. We at LOI Talk personally issue our deepest thanks to him for his commitment to the cause. We are proud to call him a member of our team.

We are proud to honour Derry’s memory in such a fitting way. The funds raised from this match will go a long way and make a real difference.
