With the conclusion of the 2025 Women’s League Of Ireland season, The managerial merry go round commences with Shelbourne announcing the departure of their manager Eoin Wearen this evening.
In a short statement on the clubs, website, Wearen departs Shelbourne following the expiration of his contract.
Eoin Wearen joined the club in 2023 where he began in a role with the Academy Coaching staff before being appointed manager of the women’s team at the start of the 2024 season.
During his tenure, Shelbourne recorded back to back runners-up finishes in the league aswell as being crowned FAI Women’s Cup in 2024. Shels also claimed the FAI Women’s President’s Cup in 2025.
In a statement on the clubs website it read:
Shelbourne FC wish to announce that Women’s First Team Manager, Eoin Wearen is to depart the club upon the expiry of his contract.
Eoin joined Shelbourne in the summer of 2023 as part of the Academy coaching staff before being appointed Women’s First Team Manager ahead of the 2024 season.
During his tenure, the Reds achieved back-to-back runners-up finishes in the SSE Airtricity Women’s Premier Division and lifted the FAI Women’s Cup in 2024. Shels also claimed the FAI Women’s President’s Cup in 2025. We thank Eoin for his efforts at Tolka Park.
The club has begun the process of appointing a new Women’s First Team Manager ahead of the 2026 season.
