Here is my perspective as a Sligo rovers fan for this fixture
Waterford and Sligo rovers meet for the first time this season at the RSC tomorrow night. Both of these teams have had good results this season such was Waterford beating St pats and drawing with Shelbourne. Sligo Rovers will be looking for back to back wins as they come off a good win to drogheda before the break. While Waterford will be looking for the full 3 points after a somewhat disappointing draw to an out of form Dundalk side they played before the break.
Sligo rovers currently sit 3rd in the table while Waterford sit 4th with a point between them with each team having played 6 games. The winner of this game will take 3rd place and things will stay the same in the event of a draw.
My prediction for this game is that it will be a tight game both teams have good squads and the game doesn’t seem like it will be one sided. Waterford do have home advantage here so maybe that will give them a boost but my prediction for this game will be that the points will be shared and the game will end up in a 1-1 draw.
This is the first game back from after the international break and hopefully the teams will be able to get back into the swing of things and not let the break affect their form.
